Kate Hudson's Venice Film Festival Style

Actress Kate Hudson has been looking fabulous while promoting her latest film, "The Reluctant Fundamentalist" at this years Venice Film Festival. My favorite look has to be the ultra chic pantsuit she wore on the red carpet by Gucci. Her post-baby bod looks amazing in this Atelier Versace dress she wore to the premiere of her film. Although,  I don't like the fact that the cut of the dress has her bum on display. Outside the red carpet she has also been rocking some great looks like this cute romper by Twenty8Twelve and a casual jeans and t-shirt outfit.

Natasha Poly Covers Vogue Turkey

Natasha is on the cover of Vogue Turkey's September issue. I'm loving the colors and the styling is perfect for a fall cover. She looks gorgeous and her long hair looks amazing.

El Efecto Alexa Chung

Alexa is said to be entertaining the idea of  launching her own clothing line. Although I do like her style I'm not sure I like that idea but I guess I'm just gonna have to wait and see what the collection looks like if it eventually comes out. In the meantime she has been named young style ambassador by the British Fashion Council  and is going to have a cameo playing herself on the upcoming season of Gossip Girl. In this editorial for Vogue Espana they asked her to style herself and pick out pieces that were a must this season. I love those leather shorts she paired with a Peter Pan collared top. The cozy sweaters and black leather jacket are fab as well.

Kate for Vogue Paris

Out of all three covers for the September issue of Vogue Paris I actually prefer Kate's cover the best and Lara's the least. Kate always works a cover and is modeling the hell out this Dolce & Gabbana dress. She along with Daria has an editorial in the issue. She shares this stunning editorial with model Saskia de Brauw. I'm a sucker for dark and gothic imagery in fashion and those head pieces really stand out. My favorite shot is the one where Kate is on the bed and the white veil picture comes at a close second.

Daria for Vogue Paris

Daria Werbowy is one of three models who grace French Vogue's September issue. Kate Moss and Lara Stone are the other girls who not only share the cover but who are also wearing the same Dolce & Gabbana dress. Basically it's the same cover with three different girls on it. For Daria's cover I think she looks gorgeous. Who can resist those high cheekbones? Too bad she had to model that unfortunate dress. She also has an amazing editorial in the issue to add to her already illustrious career. In which she looks like a sexy femme fatale. Wearing coats with nothing but thigh highs, lace, and red nail polish.

Hair and Makeup Inspirations for Fall/Winter 2012

I can't wait for autumn to start next month and start getting ready for the upcoming season. I have been looking at this years fall collections for some hair and makeup inspiration. Here are a few that caught my eye.

I like the idea of using hair accessories to liven up a hairstyle like they did at both Rodarte and Dolce & Gabbana. Or the simple messy wavy hair that they did at Gucci and Proenza Schouler. The timeless chignon at DVF or the messier version at Michael Kors. The sleek low ponytail at Dior is simple yet chic. My favorite hairstyle is one that I have been doing since before I saw it on the Valentino runway. It's so incredibly easy to do side twists on both sides of your head and then pin them down and make a cute little bun on the end.

One of my favorite eye makeup looks has always been the cat-eye.  It was all over the runways in colors like red and orange or in blue as seen at Anna Sui. I do however prefer the dark smoky eye that makeup artist Pat McGrath did at both Lanvin and Versace.  My favorite take on it has to bee the cool smoky eye shown at Armani.

There is something so alluring and feminine about a red lip. There were different variations of it like the beautiful deep aubergine color done at Rochas. Deep bordeaux lipstick at Gucci or gorgeous wine color lips at YSL and Bottega Veneta.

Stella Tennant in El Dorado

Yesterday I bought US Vogue's special anniversary September issue with Lady Gaga on the cover. While I don't particularly care for her in fashion and much less in music I decided not to post it. Although I do like the eye catching Marc Jacobs dress I'm sure everyone has already seen what the cover looks like. I decided to post Stella Tennant's amazing editorial instead. Shot in Peru by Peruvian photographer Mario Testino. I like this seasons collections with the contrast of the Peruvian culture in the background. Using leopard prints, embellishments in the clothing, and structured handbags. Plus the mix of layers of clothing in different patterns was done to perfection.

Cara Delevingne in The Thin Border

The prints, textures, and chunky necklaces make this a very fun editorial. In addition, the black wig that Cara is wearing is genius as it completely changes her look. The wine colored lips and dark nail polish look amazing. However, the best part is the scenery coupled with fabulous coats make it a perfect ed gearing towards fall.
